Sweet Treats Hearts

This is the heart treat cup and stamp set Sweetheart available now through Stampin' Up. I made a little tab that pulls up and opens a little window behind the treat through all layers and front of cardstock with a circle punch (original idea is from LeeAnn Greff). Filled with pearls for now until I can score some pastel colored candy. I used the retired Cool Caribbean because I love it so much and paired it with Regal Rose and Whisper White. The card was stamped with the heart stamp from the Sprinkles set (a SAB choice) and embossed in white, Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon added to side.

Milk Carton

I used the template provided in today's SCS Limited challenge thread (thanks!) with Very Vanilla and Regal Rose cardstock. Eastern Blooms were clear embossed with Regal Rose ink. I wanted to keep it simple since this Sending Love paper is so pretty and sparkly.
All supplies are Stampin' Up.

Homemade House

This was made for the Teapot Tuesday party challenge to be inspired by a fairy tale castle and the story of Rapunzel. I used the house template by Lauren Meader with all SU supplies and A Muse image.

Flower Soft

I love this Flower Soft Ultrafine powder for flocking and adding texture. For the little boy fishing, I used Sage for the grass and Toffee for the sand. Image (from the Flower Soft line Moments In Time, the set is called Best Fishes. This was colored with Copic markers and SU inks. Cardtocks used were Tempting Turquoise, Apricot, Black, and whisper White.

The second card used the Flower Soft Ultrafine Razzberry Fizz on the birds. The birds were cut from a light chipboard with the SU Sizzix die Birds & Blooms. The designer paper is by Little Yellow Bicycle with SU Rose Red, and layered flower is also a Sizzix die.

The Top project is a simple explosion box. Take a piece of 12" x 12" cardstock and score at 4" on all sides. Cut each flap to center square. The designer paper will each be about 3 3/4" square. The lid is 6" x 6" scored at a little less than 1" on all sides, cut tabs on sides to fold.
The bear was first punched from a light chipboard ( I used the sheet from an SU paper pack). Covered with Flower Soft Ivory for the bear and Red Ultrafine for the heart. Added black brad eyes, pastel chalk in pink for cheeks and a little ribbon rose for bow. The window is from the old SU retired set Window On The World, colored and cut out and mounted on dimensionals. Love frame is from the sentiment Things I Love (SU), "rug" is the lattic die (SU Sizzix) with some patterned paper behind it.

Vintage Vogue

I really love this set! Card base is Melon Mambo, Blush Blossom layer was run through Big Shot with a blush inked Sizzix folder (not an SU design), and then highlighted with some Pretty In Pink ink on the raised areas. Vintage Vogue set images stamped in Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo. New pink satin ribbon and felt flower can be found in the current Occasions mini. Silver photo corners are non SU also.

Greenhouse Garden Side Step Card

I really like this unique card fold and was glad I tried it out. It wasn't hard at all, it just looked that way. I used the Greenhouse Garden set with the following SU inks: Pretty in Pink and stamped off Regal Rose, Amethyst and Lavender Lace, Apricot and Pumpkin with Celery stems. Sentiments are from new Occasions mini set Picnic Parade and Happy Birthday from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Well Scripted Toile Blossom

Today's Featured Stamper on SCS is the very talented Karen Barber. I cased a card of hers and used Toile Blossoms, colored in Copic markers. Well Scripted sentiment with large oval punch, backed with two of the scallop oval punches for matting. New Occasions mini black satin ribbon used along with Lavender Lace, Basic Black, and Whisper White cardstocks. The coloring on this one took forever but I love the way it came out.

Defining Alphabet Well Scripted

All supplies are Stampin' Up, some retired.
Prints Pack paper with Chocolate Chip and Apricot. The sentiment in Regal Rose is from the Occasions mini set Well Scripted. I made the Nana personalization with the Defining Alphabet set in Chocolate Chip. The little flower is from the new Vintage Vogue set that I just can't seem to put down. I'm not quite sure if I will be using this for Valentine's Day or her birthday, I think either would work.

A Good Egg and Carrot Box

I know, it's only January and I am posting an Easter card... I'm not an overachiever. Really, I'm not. Our SCS challenge today was to make a card/project inspired by a palindome since today's date is 01-22-10.
I used Stampin' Up supplies: Tea Party paper with Pretty in Pink and Whisper White cardstocks. Image colored in markers (sentiment non SU), white taffeta ribbon and white gel pen also used.
The carrot box is on Only Orange with Bella Toile stamped in matching ink. The fernie thingie at the top is frayed Artichoke grosgrain ribbon. The template is from SCS and can be found in the Downloads- Template section.

Chocolate Bunny in Basket

Bunnies were embossed in chocolate craft ink on Creamy Caramel cardstock and cut out. Basket is made from the Sizzix pillow bow die. I cut 3 of these and adhered them together at the scored fold tabs. One edge was finished with the new Saleabration mini catalog choice scallop edge punch. The other edge was trimmed slightly so that all edges looked the same. Adhere the strip of punched out pillow box dies together to form a basket. I made a handle with a 11" strip of matching So Saffron cardstock that had a strip of Tea Party paper added to it. The So Saffron cardstock was wheeled with the jumbo It's Beautiful wheel in craft white right before adhering the last tab.

Ruby Roses

This is for today's SCS color challenge to use Basful Blue, Ruby Red, and Soft Sky. I used the retired SU set A Christmas Cardinal (the rose image) colored in markers. The frame is the fleur de lis Nestability die with two heart shaped lace doilies behind that. I paper pierced the edges with a template I bought at the Seattle scrapbook convention (maker unknown), added white satin ribbon and SU buttons.

Vintage Labels Medallion

The new SAB Vintage Labels looks like it must just meant to go with the Medallion stamp. I used Bermuday Bay and Pretty In Pink cardstocks and inks with Whisper White base. The little butterflies are from the new Embosslits die. All supplies used are current Stampin' Up except for oval scallop circle. The top white panel was embossed with the SU Backgrounds texture plates.

Handbag Treat Holder

This cute template is from melstampz. Riding Hood Red cardstock and ribbon used for bag. I rolled out the Forever Flowers wheel in matching ink. Flower is Sizzix Birds & Blooms in Pretty in Pink with new brad from the Occasions mini. Sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes on a metal edge tag.

Sweetheart & Love Bandit

The first card uses the new Occasions set Sweetheart along with the new heart treat cups. I had to cut out the heart sentiment shape and attach it on top of the treat cup since you won't be able to use the heart punch if you stamp the stem, it's just not designed that way. Which is a bummer if you are looking to save time.
Colors were inspired by the Sweet Tarts hearts: Apricot, Pretty In Pink, Sage Shadow.
I stamped the Filigree in matching ink on the Apricot cardstock and then embossed the dots in white. Pillow Box Big Shot die was made to match with some apricot grosgrain ribbon.

The second card is a tri-fold 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Score at 2 3/4" x 5 1/2". Fold card and then trim off the tiny excess overlap so all edges are even.
Stamp front as desired. On first panel punch a 1 3/8" square at top, on second panel punch a 1 1/4" square (centered under first panel's square. This will create your window. the third panel I made white and stamped the raccoon directly in the center of the window. I used my stamp-a-majig so I didn't ruin the whole card at this point by winging the placement.

Branch Out

So sad that sad that they just retired this set, I really love it. I used this to combine challenges for today's bird requirement and Mothermark's teapot challenge inspired by an apple teapot. For the apple I used the cherry from the On A Pedestal set in red. For the clouds I tore a strip of paper and sponged on some Soft Sky ink. Sky and grass were also shaded with chalk pastels to cover the bare spots.
Autumn Meadows paper and Branch Out set by SU.

Vintage Vogue

This is a really pretty color combination to try for Valentine cards in case you are tired of the same old same old pinks and reds. The color challenge was to use Pretty In Pink, Rich Razzleberry (Eggplant as a substitute), and Chocolate Chip. I also used the Sending Love specialty paper and Very Vanilla along with a pink Soft Subtles button that was tied with a bow of crochet thread (I am not overly fond of naked buttons), and pink taffeta ribbon. The sentiment was done with the circle and scallop punches. All supplies are Stampin' Up.

Tart & Tangy Fruit Slices

For today's Scratch and sniff technique, I used a little Lemon Lime jello mixed in with my embossing powder for the lemon slice sentiment. Tart & Tangy stamp set on a Whisper White pillow box, I cut an oval in the center and covered that with a small piece of acetate for the window. Fruit slice colors: Real Red, Regal Rose, Yoyo Yellow, Green Galore, Only Orange. Crushed Curry ribbon and scallop circle.

Sending Love And Chocolate Too

The new Sending Love specialty paper by Stampin' Up is fabulous! It really does all of the work for you, very little needs to be added to make this a stand out with all of the pretty sparkle running through the designs. I layered 4 glitter hearts on the one heart flower following the design on the paper, securing it with a large rhinestone brad.. I made some chocolates to coordinate with the card using a build a brad tin and Hershey's candy bars. Red polka dot grosgrain and pink taffeta ribbons also used.

It is a stand up card, there is a tutorial with the measurements in the techniques forum at SCS.

Valentine Treat Bags

Money Saving Tip- I like to search out the after Christmas sales and find the items that I can also use year round and for Valentine's Day. I like to stock up on red, silver, and gold. These sweet little nylon gift bags were 70% off at Joann's (59 cents each).
I started playing around with some ideas for Valentine's Day and tried to match the stamped images to the chocolates in the bags. I really love the silver and blue of the York peppermint patties. I used the new I {heart} hearts embossed in silver on Brilliant Blue, attached to Brushed Silver 2 1/4 x 2 1/4" gift tag that was embossed with the new Fine Flourish stamp in silver.
The second bag in red is filled with silver and red kisses and used the Love Bandit set with the sentiment from Owl Together Now.
The third is filled with Ghirardelli caramels with gold and blue wrappers. Always heart and sentiment embossed in gold on Brilliant Blue with Brushed Gold base.
