Owl Altered Can

I altered a nut can with some retired SU paper that I already had out from yesterday's project. For the owl head I used the scallop border punch and folded it on the scored folds that I made between each scallop. Made my own face with a triangle and circle punches, mask behind eyes was free hand.
Owl Be There set for main image is by Mark's Finest Papers on a Nestabilities frame in Very Vanilla.

Rainbow Christmas Collage

I used the new SU background stamp Christmas Collage and my old Colorbox option pad inks for the rainbow effect and then embossed the whole thing with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. It is so sparkly and shimmery in real life but I couldn't capture that with the photo. Finished with some white organdy ribbon and used Bermuda Bay and Ruby Red card base.

Candy Cane Christmas paper

I am not sure how I ended up with a Christmas card from the sponged lace background, I guess I was just looking to match the color of the ink I used. (Colorbox chalk inks retired SU). I thought this color was a great match for the new Candy Cane Christmas paper so went from there. Sizzix Santa with a Liquid Applique mustache, hat band of Martha Stewart snow mixed with Dazzling Diamonds and the Ho sentiment from Glad Tidings. Card Patterns Sketch #80 was used for the layout.

Mark's Finest Paper Blog Hop Day 4

Today's featured set is Thankful Mums and Pumpkin. This is a very versatile set great for year round use.
I used the large mum and the sentiment from the set and colored it in Copic markers. For the card base I tried the crimped diamond technique that was featured this week on SCS. Very easy and worked perfectly with the new diamond Nesties.

I had to make another one, this time using the pumpkin image. I added little happy faces to the pumpkins with my Copic markers, paper is retired SU, lace is new Stampin' Up, drippy goo punch by Martha Stewart.

Artistic Etchings

This card is for today's Featured Stamper challenge at SCS honoring Emily, Stampingout.
All supplies are Stampin' Up: Cardstocks of Baja, Whisper White, Love Letter designer paper, vintage brads, rhinestone stick ons, Chantilly lace, Artistic Etchings embossed in silver.

Blended Pencils

There is a great tutorial on SCS this week for Blended Pencils. I used my long neglected Prismacolors for this along with sepia Pitt artist pens (superfine tip). This is my first attempt at outlining with these pens and it started off a bit shaky but got a bit neater toward the end. I guess that it is like with most things, the more you practice... You start by stamping an image in light ink and then coloring it in with your pencils, then outline. Easy!
I used Inspired By Nature and God's Beauty sets by Stampin' Up on Whisper White, Basic Black and Pretty In Pink cardstocks.

I have to add that the Count from Sesame Street was my son's very favorite muppet when he was young. Thanks for the cute comments :)
