Glitter House Ornaments

These little chipboard ornaments were from a kit by Melissa Frances (Impress store). You could make these easily enough with some of the house templates on the internet. Ornaments were painted with acrylic paints, added glitter and mini trees. A hole was cut in the bottom so I can pop a Christmas tree light on the inside of the house, windows are covered with an acetate sheet for a glass look. Can't wait to put these on the tree!

Snowman Gift Tags

I found a stack of these retired Stampin' Up snowman images all colored up and glittered so I completed the half started project after all of these years, turning them into tags. I don't know the name of the set as I don't have it any more. I have boxes and boxes of things waiting to be finished! I used various scraps of designer paper, ribbons, fibers, and embellishments to complete.

Santa Shadowbox Ornament

I made a Santa shadowbox ornament from Whisper White cardstock and a window sheet for front. Music score wheel on back of box, Lovely as a Tree stamp with a purchased Santa 3d gift tag and some fake snow as ground filler. Box measures 4"X4".

Removable Ornament

Some supplies are Stampin' Up: Glossy White and Real Red textured cardstock, sentiment from retired Trim the Tree set. The ornament is a sticker (Elizabeth Craft Designs) that I attached to an adhesive sheet and then cut out. Entire area was covered with white glitter and then colored on top of the glitter with Copic markers, and popped up onto the card front. I used bargain brand pop up foam squares that will allow the ornament to be easily removed from the card so you can add it to the tree. The row of double rhinestone ribbon I found in the stationery area of The Container Store (love this place!).

If you want to do something similar using only Stampin' Up, simply find a design that can be colored in and emboss with gold, silver or black powder and then follow the glittering and coloring procedure the same way. If you can't find adhesive sheets, you can use your clear mono glue. Let glitter and glue dry completely before you attempt coloring.

Glass ball ornaments

What to do with all of that glitter? This is a quick idea for a really pretty ornament that looks much more beautiful in real life with all of the sparkle. I used clear glass balls (available at most craft stores), coated inside with thin glue called Glitter It, then added glitter with a small funnel and embellished. Very easy! I have heard you can also use a floor wax to get the glue to stick but I have not tried using that yet. I think any thin, pourable glue will do as long as it is fairly clear.

Warmest Wishes

Mojo Monday sketch with Stampin' Up supplies: Be of Good Cheer designer paper, Cherry Cobbler and Vanilla cardstocks, Scentsational Season and Warmest of Wishes stamp sets, silver glitter paper and non SU snowflake punch. Foam is heated up Liquid Applique. Cherry Cobbler quilted satin ribbon and half pearls to embellish.

Gingerbread Mama

One of my favorite things about the holiday season is gingerbread decorations! Can't get enough of them. For this card I used the Sizzix gingerbread die in More Mustard, inked edges and splattered some dots using the old Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp. For the babies I cut them out in matching cardstock and ink using the Scentsational Season stamp and coordinating Holiday framelits. Whisper White cardstock was embossed using the Vintage Wallpaper folder and some red baker's twine for stringing the smaller gingerbread babies.
