Natural Composition cardstock

This Stampin' Up! specialty paper is perfect for a card. It has the design clear embossed right on it so you don't have to do so much to add to the look you're going for. This stamp set by Sizzix/Hero Arts matches the pattern perfectly! Also added Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon and some coordinating baker's twine.

Autumn Harvest

Operation Write Home has a really sweet sketch this week, love it! I used the retired SU set Autumn Harvest (will never part with this one), Only Orange, Celery, and Whisper White cardstocks with various designer papers. Sentiment is from Toxic Treats.

Boo

For the 365 cards challenge to use two different sheets of cardstock, both sides. I chose Cast A Spell (SU-retired), and From The Crypt stamp set. Spider web folder on Pumpkin Pie base with silver mini brads. The Boo chipboard letters are from my miscellaneous stash and I inked them with Chocolate craft ink.

Paper Bag

This is a super simple way to make your own paper bag from designer paper to hold gift cards or treats. I cut a sheet of retired Stampin' Up! Christmas paper 12" x 5" and scored edges at 1/4" on both long sides and folded it in half at the 6" mark, adhering both sides. Used pinking shears for top edge. Tag uses Holiday Sampler for sentiments and Jolliest of Holidays for Santa. Martha Stewart snowflakes punched from silver Glimmer Paper with half pearls added.
This is for the Just Add Ink # 178 challenge for this week of snowflakes.

True Friend

An oldie but goodie! I used Stampin' Up! supplies for the Color Challenge CQC#202 Ruby Red, Basic Gray, So Saffron, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White. Retired set True Friend and coordinating wheel. I liked this color combo and it's not one I would have thought of. It's always a good thing to jump in on some of the blog challenges and try something new!

Toxic Treats Witch

I just wanted parts of this Toxic Treats image by Stampin' Up! so I used markers to color the stamp. Added a Saffron moon and a partial sentiment and layered it with the Labels Collection framelits dies. Base is Tangerine Tango with last year's lace ribbon. Designer paper scraps are unknown, they were in my Halloween/Fall bin.

Glimmer Snowflake

All supplies are Stampin' Up! Whisper White base, Soft Sky matting, Glimmer Paper in silver, Winter Frost specialty paper. Festive Flurry snowflakes were silver embossed on designer paper and Brushed Silver cardstock and cut out with coordinating dies. Embellished with Frosted Finishes jeweled snowflake and tiny silver brads on all corners. This looks SO much prettier in real life, it's always hard to capture all of the sparkle in a photo.

French Foliage

I'm not ready for summer to be over by any means but I was going through my Fall and Halloween stamps and accessories to see what I have and what I might need. Some really lovely things are calling my name in the new SU holiday mini but I'm trying to exercise some restraint. Ha! We'll see how that goes...
For this card I used the French Foliage set and Season by Season for the sentiment that was espresso embossed on vellum and secured with red eyelets. I masked out a rectangle in the center of a Whisper White base and inked with Banana and Marigold inks. Stamped leaves and the postmark and splotches in Tangerine Tango, Daffodil, Crushed Curry, Baked Brown Sugar, and Poppy Parade.

FrankenFriday

Here are some Frankenstein project ideas for Halloween. The first uses the SU owl punch, Gable Green for body, base is Basic Gray with tree background stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms. The second uses the top note die on Green Galore cardstock, a quick project for a treat holder when glued to a mini paper bag that was cut down to fit with a pair of scalloped edged scissors. The third uses Pistachio Pudding and the Bigz Bag with Scallops die. Great for giving out treats!

Batty For You

For the Clean and Simple sketch challenge FTL252. I love this easy layout and it's a great way to use up the smaller pieces of designer paper. The bat is from a really old SU Halloween set (1992), the sentiment is Memory Box, retired dp.

Pick Your Poison

I'm still on a mission to use up last season's Halloween designer paper before I can consider buying any more. This is Pick Your Poison dp and the card is mostly the paper with a few spiders stamped on it (From the Crypt) and an old retired sentiment. Embellished with Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon, button, twine, half pearls, and a coordinating paper rosette. Bottom is the pinking hearts border punch.

Wicked Cool

For this week's Mojo Monday sketch I used all Stampin' Up! supplies: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray, and Whisper White cardstocks with last season's Halloween designer paper, Basic Gray taffeta ribbon, and Wicked Cool stamp set. Added a rhinestone to hat band.

Joyous Poinsettia

I really love this image from the new Stampin' Up! mini and have been wanting a large poinsettia image that I could cut out and layer for years. So happy to finally have this one! All supplies used were SU: Real Red card base and ribbon, layered with White and Chocolate Chip that was embossed with the Lattice Squares folder. Antique brads to embellish. The poinsettia was silver embossed on Cherry Cobbler, the bottom in gold on Brushed Gold. Half pearls in center.

One Sheet of cardstock

All of these cards were made for Operation Write Home. (Click on that link to find out more about them). I used one sheet of 12x12" cardstock for the first three sets of cards. On the first one I made the butterflies out of the scraps left over from that paper design. Also used SU's Swallowtail and Itty Bitty Banners, small butterflies were gold embossed and are by Sizzix (comes with matching framelits dies.) The second group was mostly SU stuff: paper, Upsy Daisy, Simply Sketched, and Wildflower Meadow sets. The third was a SAB paper choice from a previous year paired with the Flower Shop set on a Rose Red base. The last set of cards were from my Halloween box of partially completed cards using a variety of supplies, trying to keep all of these holiday themed cards cute and cheery and definitely not dark/scary or inappropriate for the soldiers.
