Watercolor Imprints

What a fast and fun technique this was! Swiped Salty Ocean distress oxide ink pad over a piece of watercolor paper and then laid an SU stencil over top and spritzed with water. Removed stencil when dry. Added some Lawn Fawn otters for a watery Christmas card.

Thanksgiving Blessings to you all!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and got to spend time with your loved ones.
I did a little bit of Black Friday shopping and found this traditional nutcracker stamp at Hobby Lobby (Stampabilities). Colored in Copics and used some Whisper White thick card stock that was embossed with a Sizzix 3d snowflake embossing folder. Paper is G45 Night Before Christmas and sparkly strip is rhinestone tape from The Container Store. Added some sequins.

Nativity

The first card uses Stampin' Up! supplies of Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon, Espresso card stock and a retired Christmas dsp. The Nativity silhouette was (I think) TAC since it is blue rubber. The background was made with Tim Holtz distress oxides and the silhouette was heat embossed with Versamark and Early Espresso powder.

The second card is light years away from the first, haha. We love Dr. Who here so it was fun to find this stamp set from a local Washington company, Kindred Stamps. The card base is Night Of Navy, the main panel is heavy Yupo paper with Brushos color crystals of black, ultramarine, and purple. Spritzed alternately with water and isopropyl alcohol. Colored the Daleks and Tardis in Copic markers and cut out. The Tardis is on an action wobble so it jiggles. The Daleks are embellished with Nuvo enamel drops in yellow and Translucent. Sentiment silver embossed.

Birch Trees stencil

Laid stencil over white card stock and sprayed with Turquoise Blue glimmer Mist. Added MFT elf and sentiment. I messed up on the N in the sentiment so I added a Stampin' Up! snowflake sequin to cover it up and then decided to add a few more!
This was for today's Featured Stamper challenge (Helen G.) at Splitcoast but is vastly different than the inspiration card. Both had birch trees though :)

Cornucopia

Stamp set is Stampin' Up! Grand Cornucopia (retired).
Wrinkled tissue paper and applied to card stock with Mod Podge. Sprayed with orange and gold shimmer sprays. When dry, ran a versamark pad over wrinkles and embossed in gold. Gold embossed cornucopia, colored with pencils and markers. Die cut pumpkin shape and popped up on dimensionals.

Winter Is Coming

Tis the season to start stamping... Today begins my holiday card, tag, ornament, etc. creating. I hope you will stop back again and join me in getting ready for the holidays!
This cute little elf was one I couldn't resist (those ears!). It is by My Favorite Things. The rest of the card is all Stampin' Up!- retired Christmas paper, silver glimmer paper, and the snowflake rhinestone embellishments. The layout and colors were from the SCS challenges this week.

Voila!!

I'm sure we all have a few old stamp sets that we just can't part with! I love this fat chef and how easy it is to dress up his chef jacket, either with paper piecing or stamping. For this one I colored it with the Daffodil Stampin' Blend and the used the leaf stamp from the Gratitude set with the pheasant? in Cranberry Crisp. Base is Cherry Cobbler with Tangerine. (SUO)

Joy Gift Tag

I made this for Loll Thompson's 12 Tags of Christmas challenge.
Using a gelli plate and turquoise and gold acrylic paints brayered onto plate, I added some doily stencils and white dots with an eraser and white craft ink. Spritzed with glimmer mist when dry. Ran piece through with Sizzix 3D snowflakes embossing folder, then swiped top raised images with white craft ink. Added Tattered Poinsettias die and joy sentiment die cut from ice blue foil sheet (Sizzix).  Flower center is Recollections micro beads, bottom strip is SU glitter paper, tinsel ribbon trim is Tim Holtz, sequins were added to some snowflakes.
