Started with panel of Whisper White and shaving cream technique. Using a stencil of birch trees, blue Nuvo embellishment mousses applied atop panel. Stampin' Up!'s Snow Much Fun snowman cut out and popped up, snowballs are small white pompoms. Added a snow drift bank of white glitter paper. Orchid Opulence card base to compliment his scarf.

This delightful little stamp is by Technique Junkies and is called Christmas Mug Shot. Background is Tim Holtz alcohol inks on Glossy White and embossed with Sizzix 3d snowflakes folder.

Ornaments Tags and Foil

Working with the Tim Holtz foil paper packs today, this is Confections. For an 8"x 8" piece I cut two 4" x 5 1/4" and then I have two pieces perfect for tags after using the larger ones for card fronts. The Santa stamp is an old, retired one from PSX that I really love.

Clear glass ornaments can be found in most craft stores at this time of year (or you can wait and get tons of them on clearance after the holiday). I made my own thin, pourable glue to coat the insides and then sprinkled Nuvo Desert Sunset glitter inside. This is one of my favorite glitters this year with so many warm colors of sparkle, they look so pretty with the tree lights reflecting from them.
For the glue I used Aleene's clear tacky glue in a little plastic bottle and added hot water and shook to mix. Roughly a half and half recipe.

TH Tattered Poinsettia die and coordinating embossing folder for flower, added glitters to petals. Sentiment is Stampin' Up! Greetings of the Season embossed in gold detail powder.

Christmas Cards

It is great to be back in the Splitcoast challenge game, I have missed it. I was so happy to see this card featured on the SCS Instagram site today! Totally made my morning a very happy one.
The Angel of Peace stamp is by Penny Black and I just love her. Fun and easy to color, I used Copic markers. Added some Wink Of Stella glitter to the dove and wings and some Nuvo enamel drops to her hair (Golden Sunset) and to the side of the card (Translucent). Embossed the sentiment (also Penny Black) in gold detail powder. Card stocks are SU Gable Green (Lemon Lime) and Whisper White.

I always have a box of card fronts that were done with various Tim Holtz distress oxide inks sitting by my desk. It's great to have some backgrounds ready and waiting to go. Embossed one of these with the Sizzix 3D snowflakes folder and added some pearls and glass pebbles for embellishing. Sentiment (Hero Arts) embossed in silver. Butterflies die cut from SU glimmer paper.

For the show us your Grinch colors on the December Virtual Stamp Night (Mini3) challenge on SCS. I went with the literal approach and made an ornament with a hand drawn in black Sharpie face that I found on my Google Grinch search. Colored in lime green Copic marker and die cut with ornament shape. Added silver glimmer paper for top and embroidery thread to hang. The rest of the stamps are Stampin' Up! Branch (not sure) and Tags Til Christmas. SU embossing folder and sequins (non SU) for decorations.

This new Signs Of Santa set is simply adorable. I used today's sketch (Splitcoast Stampers) for a clean and simple one layer card. All supplies used were Stampin' Up!

Library Challenge

This is my first Halloween card of the season! I love summer but am so ready for fall at this point. Haven't been able to go out doors for long with the poor air quality, heavy smoke drifting down from the wildfires.
This is for the Library Challenge featuring the beautiful book by Maya Angelou "I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings". This challenge was right up my alley, covering the two hobbies I love most- stamping and reading.

Lots of Coloring

Most of my cards today feature a lot of coloring, with Copics and Prismacolor pencils. I am not sure who made this digital stamp of the Paris Cafe, I didn't name it in the file I saved. Another with this sweet fairy (Nan's Stamps), Technique Junkies silhouette, and Lawn Fawn die cut to frame. Made into a shaker.

More challenges

I haven't done so many cards in one week like this in years. Housework and errands are falling by the wayside for a little bit. As long as I can keep my desk in order for the duration of the challenges I'm golden.
Healing Hugs stamp set by Stampin' Up! with Sage Shadow, Bermuda Bay and thick Whisper White card stocks. I used a gelli plate, stencil,  and acrylic paints for the background and embellished with Nuvo enamel drops in various colors.

Pool Part card stock, Authentique Sea Maiden dsp, Technique Junkies mermaid stamps, shells made from polymer clad and molds.

Sentiment by Technique Junkies embossed in gold, beach/sand/shells is a sticker, background created with the nail polish marbling technique and pearl shimmer spray.

Adhesive paper sheet, a stencil, and copper and silver glitter were used to create the background. Sentiment by Technique Junkies. Balloon die, copper foil and Champagne glimmer paper by SU.

Tim Holtz distress oxide inks background, SU tee shirt thinlits dies with clothespins and baker's twine. Sentiment by Lawn Fawn.

A coloring book page turned into a card!

Challenges- Day Two

Welcome to day two of the Dare To Get Dirty challenges at Splitcoast stampers for Fan Club members.  Hope you will join in the fun, it's a great way to build up our completed card supplies.

This first card uses all Stampin' Up! supplies with the exception of the dimensional berries I added which were made with Nuvo enamel drops.

The Stampin' Up! Swallowtail is one of my favorites and will always stay in my collection. I embossed it in silver, used Authentique Sea Maiden papers and a sentiment from Technique Junkies in poppy red. Card stocks are Whisper White and Poppy Parade. I was ecstatic when they brought this color back, I love it.

Supplies used for this were Penny Black poppies stamp, watercolor paper, brushos color crystals, Arteza watercolor brush pens, and Hello die cut word by Tonic Studios.

This was a fun and unique technique that I really enjoyed (challenge details available on the Fan Club thread). I added Stampin' Up!'s Elements of style floral in the bottom corner, sentiment from Lawn Fawn, SU embossing folder over all.

I just can't get enough of the Gelli Plate and acrylic paints, they are so much fun to play around with for cool backgrounds. I have a basket of these panels all ready to go for quick and easy card assembly. Stamped the fairy image atop the panel and added some Tim Holtz Tattered Florals dies flowers to accent. Sentiment is from Technique Junkies.

This was a super fun and easy one! Stamped the Stampin' Up! Simply Soft flower in StazOn black ink and colored with markers, filled it with lavender from Provence. mmm, smells so good!
